About the role:
The CFO will manage all financial aspects of the company, from end-to-end financial planning to compliance and reporting. This role requires a combination of strategic insight and hands-on experience to drive financial health, transparency, and operational excellence across the group. The CFO will also lead future financing rounds and/or M&A transactions, working closely with the board of directors, investors and stakeholders to support the company growth goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Financial Planning and Analysis
- Lead group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support decision-making.
- Provide business leaders with visibility into profit margins, costs, cash flow, and KPIs.
- Perform monthly budget reviews to confirm alignment with financial objectives.
- Review and analyze expenses, revenue, and losses to identify areas for improvement.
2.Accounting and Financial Operations
- Direct all accounting functions, including payroll, accounts receivable, collections, expense processing, taxes, and revenue recognition.
- Oversee statutory financial reporting and tax compliance across jurisdictions.
- Lead external accountants in Switzerland, the USA, and Singapore for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
3.Reporting and Compliance
- Consolidate and present timely interpretations of operating results.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting both external audits and internal controls.
4.Risk Management and Financial Strategy
- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments.
- Manage cash burn and anticipate future capital needs.
- Develop, plan, and execute financial strategy to drive sustainable growth.
5.Leadership in Financing and Investor Relations
- Play a leading role in structuring and executing future financing rounds.
- Cultivate relationships with investors and financial institutions, managing investor relations.
- Develop strategies for potential M&A as part of growth planning.
Ideal career experience:
- Finance Expertise: Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in multinational environments.
- Accounting and Compliance: Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, tax reporting, transfer pricing, and corporate accounting functions.
- Technology Proficiency: Expert-level Excel skills, including proficiency in Pivot Tables, Data Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.
- Strategic Insight: Experience working with venture-backed, private equity, and fast-growth startups, with a proven track record in scaling businesses.
- Financial Software: Ideally knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
- Equity and Debt Financing: Strong understanding of equity and debt financing and experience in capital fundraising.
- Investor Relations and M&A: Experience with investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, and stakeholder communication.
- Tax Knowledge: Familiarity with both direct and indirect tax regulations.
